Driving fans into the ground for the T20 Blast matches while ensuring the club’s story was bowled into the business pages

Surrey County Cricket Club is one of English cricket’s top clubs and they play their home matches at one of the most historic sports grounds in the world, The Kia Oval.

We have worked together on several campaigns including to drive ticket sales for the NatWest T20 Blast, celebrating the staging of the 100th Test Match at the Oval and most recently to move their story into the business pages of the broadsheet newspapers – to raise awareness of their lucrative conference and events business, and to promote their sustainability and plastic-free initiatives.

Across these different campaigns we have targeted consumer, lifestyle, family, sporting and business press, securing coverage for Surrey CCC across the media landscape to help them achieve their objectives.

Our T20 campaign secured widespread print, online and video coverage with a specific focus on family focused outlets. Surrey CCC went on to sell a record 105,000 tickets for its seven T20 fixtures, it’s most successful season at the Kia Oval since the tournament’s 2003 inception, and with more than 10,000 of those tickets purchased for under 16s.

On the business side, our campaign drove huge interest generating more than 50 pieces of coverage across national and international business pages, sports industry press and sustainability media, including in The Times, Evening Standard, Telegraph, Forbes, BBC Sport and City AM, SportsPro and Sports Industry Biz.
