Against a backdrop of sustainability pledges and net zero targets increasingly hitting headlines, Simply Sustainable CEO Nicola Stopps came to PHA with a clear aim: to create a platform where she could really apply her 20+ years’ experience to publicly challenge, advise and champion corporates making progress in the ESG landscape.

Simply Sustainable is an ESG and sustainability consultancy that wants to use the media to speak to the people it works with every day; company boards, management and the c-suite, and against a crowded environmental media backdrop, we crafted a dedicated media strategy that focused on cultivating high value, trusted media relationships for Nicola that would ultimately help influence boardroom discussions.

Through interviews, opinion pieces, reactive commentary and a hard working corporate press office, PHA has delivered a significant media footprint for Nicola across national and sustainability press covering policy and framework updates, business faux pas and ESG trends as the business community attempts to keep up with the pressures of climate change.

Alongside long form pieces in the FT Adviser, interviews with Bloomberg and regular features in Times Raconteur special reports, a highlight of our strategy included Nicola kicking off the first morning of COP27 with BBC Radio 5’s Wake up to Money, offering views and advice to businesses on current affairs around ESG and corporate sustainability goals, which led to direct sales enquiries to the business.
