Neil McLeod
Neil McLeod is the Divisional Managing Director of Corporate at The PHA Group. He is an award-winning strategic communications practitioner who is recognised as one of the country’s leading reputation managers.
He leads on campaigns to raise and protect the reputations of corporate entities and individuals, deploying skills and a contacts’ book crafted and built through more than 25 years in media and communications.
Neil’s strategic communications and issues management work spans various sectors and issues, both domestic and international. In his career, he has advised hedge funds, private equity companies, major law firms, litigation funding companies, HNWIs, sports stars, Premier League football clubs, sovereign wealth funds, and listed firms.
He is skilled at dealing with corporate reputation work as well as matters and game-changing campaigns with “front page” headline appeal.
Neil is named in the Spear’s 500 definitive list of the country’s top reputation managers, the magazine saying of him: “Neil understands how reputations are made and broken”, adding that he is a “press sage” who brings “the insight of a story-crafting news executive to the inner workings of crisis management.”
Along with PHA founder and chairman Phil Hall, Neil was an integral part of the reputation management team which supported Sir Cliff Richard in his four-year battle with South Yorkshire Police and the BBC, resulting in the singer’s successful privacy litigation against the Corporation.
This work was recognised by the PRCA which awarded PHA the Issues and Crisis Management National Award in 2018. Neil has also been recognised by Chambers and Partners for his litigation support work.
