Activating a social media and community management strategy for a leading financial and enterprise education charity, Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise came to us with a focussed brief to revitalise their social channels – Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – and devise a social media strategy that highlights their work, ambitions and business priorities in engaging, relevant, accessible and inspiring ways.

At any one time, there’s a lot going on at Young Enterprise; from always-on business objectives, to events across the country, student awards and progress reports. It’s vital that while our social strategy highlights all of these, it’s done so in ways that resonate on social and inspire the right people to tap into Young Enterprise’s wealth of resources.

Through a daily posting strategy, we create and share bespoke, platform-optimised content to ensure maximum reach; including animations, videos, live event coverage, social media polls and quote cards. This is peppered with thought leadership, trend-led and news content to ensure that Young Enterprise is part of relevant online conversations.

With such varied content and multiple messages going out each week, a hard-working community management strategy is vital for engaging with Young Enterprise alumni, volunteers and staff, as well as key audience groups such as corporate partners, parents and teachers. Through regular checks of comments, tags and mentions, we ensure everything relevant being shared on social media is celebrated and highlighted, and this thorough community management process also allows us to source even more content for the channels.

Through our social strategy, we’ve seen a huge increase in performance – more than doubling monthly impressions, engagements and follower growth. We’ve found a successful balance of giving Young Enterprise’s target audiences what we know they want to see, as well as sharing content that highlights and celebrates the brilliant work that Young Enterprise does for young people in the UK.
