Leading the media conversation by leveraging the gold standard in market research

Ipsos UK (formerly known as Ipsos MORI) is an industry-leading global market research consultancy with a rich heritage, but the sector has become increasingly crowded with the arrival of online-only entrants.

Our brief was to raise the media profile of the business and Kelly Beaver, who had recently been promoted to CEO.

Our media relations campaign has highlighted the gold standard research and insights of Ipsos, which is best known for its political polling but is an authority across multiple sectors, ranging from social affairs and health to the environment and consumer behaviour.

We have successfully built long-term relationships with journalists at leading media outlets including The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, The Times, The Sunday Times and Times Radio, Newsnight, Sky News, LBC and Bloomberg TV and Radio, regularly placing Ipsos polling data with them and securing interview opportunities for their experts. We have worked in partnership with journalists, devising exclusive polling projects from inception to execution, or secured coverage for polling which Ipsos have conducted as part of their ongoing work.

We have provided media training for all their senior commentators, ensuring that they maximise the broadcast opportunities and communicate key messages succinctly and effectively.

Stand-out media coverage secured for Ipsos has included the cover story in Times 2 for its Secrets of Success report, an in-depth report looking at perceptions of success in modern Britain. We have secured front-page stories in several national newspapers, including The Mail on Sunday for royal polling; health polling in The Sunday Times, which led to a comment piece in response from the Health Secretary; research on violence against women in Metro; political polling in The Scottish Daily Mail; and a business trends study in City A.M.

We have also worked on separate projects with Ipsos’ private client partners. We led the PR activation for a global bank’s report on High-Net-Worth entrepreneurs across six markets in Europe, North America and Asia, which generated more than 500 pieces of media coverage, totalling more than 110m views.
