The best vegan snacks

One in eight Britons are now vegetarian or vegan, according to a report on food shopping that underlines a revolution in the UK’s eating habits. In a world where cutting down our sugar consumption is getting a priority as well as looking into what goes into our children’s mouths, healthy snacks are becoming a big trend and are taking over our supermarket aisles.

To celebrate #WorldVeganDay we’re looking at delicious snacks suited for vegans that won’t let you down in terms of taste.

Livia kitchen

Livia’s story started in Olivia’s kitchen back in 2014 when she had been diagnosed with a long list of severe food intolerances. She wanted to still be able to enjoy sweet treats and started baking in her kitchen. That’s when the idea of launching a free-from and natural snack range came to her mind.

Livia’s products include nugglets (dough balls), million squares as well as Dunx (cookies). Livia prioritises quality over quantity, although only a few products available the taste is amazing, and you won’t notice that they are free-from and natural. They are also launching an advent calendar for Christmas, and we’re so excited to try it out!

Growers Garden

Ever heard of broccoli? I know it might not sound like a treat but trust me it is! Each one of their fantastic flavours contains at least 27% fresh broccoli (never powdered), making it the #1 ingredient. Made using fresh veg from their very own fields, grown in the East of Scotland sunshine, the crisps are broccoli like you’ve never had it before.

With under 100kcal per pack, they’re a tasty, low-calorie snack for all the family; great on-the-go, after the gym, or even as a kids’ snack. With different flavours such as cheese, chive and onions or chilli, make sure you try something new!
