Yesterday saw another string added the bow of The PHA Group’s armoury as the agency was highly commended at the B2B Marketing Awards for ‘Best use of Social Media’. This latest success crowns a real landmark year in the history of the agency. As if celebrating ten years in the industry wasn’t enough, the company have also tasted success in the form of ‘Media Employers of the Year’ and ‘Best Use of PR’ at the BT Sports Industry Awards.

The nomination in question was for the ‘PowwowHELPMEnow’ social media campaign engineered for our client, Powownow, the UK’s leading conference call service provider. The campaign saw us engage and encourage businesses in London to tweet us with their office-based problems and it was our task to find a creative and physical solution to such.

This ranged from supplying cakes and various sweet treats to a sugar-deprived office on a Friday afternoon, to sending a string quarter to brighten up another company’s day to moving an entire office on to the roof in order to enjoy the sunshine! With coverage achieved on both the Mail Online and Telegraph Online and Powwownow enjoying a 26% increase in conversations from the previous month – it was an undoubted success and the client was delighted.


The aim was to showcase Powwownow as the enablers for SMEs in the UK, reach out to potential new customers and ultimately put a smile on people’s faces. It’s safe to say that we also managed to have a little bit of fun ourselves along the way.

On a glitzy and glamorous evening at the Honourable Artillery Company last night, we were delighted to claim the runner-up prize in the aforementioned category. With other nominees including some titans of industry – O2, IBM and Microsoft.

With three of The PHA Group’s finest in attendance (Nick, Sam and Gareth), the agency was well-represented and further cemented their place as one of the most innovative and leading agencies in the business.
