TRUE, powered by Open Energy Market, is an innovative net zero platform and energy procurement provider. We were brought on board to support the platform launch of TRUE, engaging financial and sustainability leaders on a problem many hadn’t considered previously; evidencing the ROI of sustainability initiatives.

Following a successful launch, our communications strategy evolved, taking TRUE from a pioneering business to a recognised thought leader in the industry. This involved elevating awareness of its expertise across three key areas: energy procurement and trading, sustainability consultancy, and cutting-edge net zero data and analytics technology.

To position TRUE as experts in their field, we worked closely with the team to craft several industry whitepaper reports, underpinned by market research. These reports uncovered the gaps and opportunities to achieving commercially viable net zero projects – a key challenge for TRUE’s customers and prospects.

We successfully launched these reports to media, securing top tier coverage in BBC Wake Up To Money, Reuters, City AM and The Telegraph. Our campaign strategy combined high visibility opportunities in national media with practical insights published in industry outlets, driving increased brand awareness and reputation amongst decision makers in their key commercial focus areas.

To maintain TRUE’s presence in the media we supplemented these projects with a broader PR strategy. This included thought leadership, customer case study feature development, data storytelling, newsjacking commentary on energy policy, global events, and businesses’ sustainability investment strategies, and profiling for a full suite of subject matter experts.

This full-service strategic communications campaign has resulted in high-quality coverage, increased visibility for key spokespeople, and effective strategic positioning in the media to prospects. And beyond the media, our partnership supported TRUE’s in-house digital team with relevant content to encourage qualified lead generation.
