Despite a global pandemic the fintech industry saw an uptake in investment during the first half of 2020 compared to the same period the year before.

According to study published by Accenture, investments were up 3.8 per cent in the first half calculating to over £2 billion.

The industry saw an influx of payment start ups influenced heavily by a cashless society, as well as a number of insurtech businesses which saw a huge 66 per cent growth year on year alone.

To fuel this growth, there has been several early stage investors who have dominated the market and taken on the lion share of these organisation in order to support scale and growth.
