About the role

We are currently looking for a Consumer PR Lead to join our fast-growing Technology department, specifically with skills, knowledge, contacts and a genuine passion for tech. The Technology division is further developing its capabilities in consumer tech given the rapid growth of areas including health tech, sustainability, Web3, gaming, IoT, metaverse/AR/VR, AI and more which we want to break into.

We are seeking someone who has a track record in consumer tech generally (with these additional sectors being a bonus), backed by strong account management skills, to lead on accounts, work with our talented ambitious team, and drive the growth and development of our Consumer Tech division under your leadership.

About you

  • Knowledge of and keen interest in the latest trends and growth areas in consumer tech
  • Some understanding of health tech, sustainability, Web3, gaming, IoT, metaverse/AR/VR, AI and more – these exact sectors not essential, but a bonus
  • Experience and success creating and leading impactful PR strategies for consumer technology businesses and/or brands
  • Copywriting experience for consumer tech industries, able to understand different sectors quickly
  • Established relationships with national and consumer technology media
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Business nous, and able to identify commercial opportunities

What you will be doing

  • Driving the growth and development of our Consumer Tech division, working closely with Head of Technology (we also have a Fintech/B2B division within the Tech dept), and build out your own personal business plan as part of this
  • Lead new business efforts and continually identify areas for the expansion of our Consumer Tech offering
  • Overseeing Consumer Tech portfolio of clients:
    • Ownership of relationships with clients, discussing issues outside of the day to day account management and sourcing broader opportunities through their networks
    • Lead client management, administration of accounts, growth of accounts and upselling new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong personal pipeline for the Consumer Tech division
  • Execute effective campaigns that bring in leads, working closely with the Sales & Marketing team
  • Source and attend networking opportunities to develop new business contacts
  • Work closely with the Head of Technology to lead and motivate the team to maintain our excellent team culture
  • Develop your broader role across PHA where you can share knowledge, and represent PHA through our own agency PR efforts
