We are delighted to announce we will be working with KYMIRA, the revolutionary wearable tech company and infrared sportswear brand. Innovators in garments and textiles, we have been tasked to raise awareness around its sportswear brand, known to have helped athletes enhance performance, accelerate recovery and reduce the chances of injury through infrared fabrics within its garments.
KYMIRA products – which are CE approved and designated a medical device by the FDA – are currently used by 6,000 customers worldwide across industries as diverse as sport, medicine, military, space research and PPE. Its sports offering includes a number of elite organisations such as Premier League clubs Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion, Championship club Reading, England Rugby, Ireland Rugby, AS Roma and American Football side San Francisco 69ers.
KYMIRA was founded in 2013 by Timothy Brownstone, who at the time was both a keen athlete and an aspiring biochemist. After suffering an injury during his first season of competing internationally, Tim searched for ways to accelerate his rehabilitation. Drawing upon his scientific know-how, Tim found research published by NASA explaining how infrared light was used to grow plants quicker in space. This sparked Tim’s idea behind KYMIRA, believing that infrared light could also stimulate human cell growth and accelerate cell performance and healing.
Timothy is an internationally recognised scientist, multi-award winning entrepreneur and educational speaker. He speaks for organisations such as TEDx, the Ambrosetti Forum and Kairos Society and was awarded Great British Entrepreneur of the Year for Innovation in 2021.
Since it was founded, KYMIRA has gathered £5.2 million in investment, including £3.7 million from renowned UK investor and former Saracens Rugby club owner, Nigel Wray in February this year.
Commenting on appointing the PHA Group, founder of KYMIRA Timothy Brownstone explained:
“I was incredibly impressed by their previous experience in working with innovative companies like ourselves within the fitness space. Coupled with that, the ideas and vision they shared for KYMIRA, I’m excited to see what we can achieve together moving forward”.
Daniel Apostolos, Senior Account Director at The PHA Group, commented:
“We are absolutely thrilled to start working with such an innovative and industry leading brand in KYMIRA. KYMIRA are changing the way that consumers and professional athletes enhance their performance and accelerate recovery and we are excited to be working on this brief.
KYMIRA have so many great stories to tell beyond its sports apparel and we can’t wait to help the brand grow its presence to a wider audience”.
