Supporting TELUS Health’s UK expansion
TELUS Health is a global wellbeing provider. While being well-known in North America, TELUS had low brand awareness when they expanded into Europe. TELUS wanted to grow their B2B credibility in Europe and build trust with both businesses and employees.
To promote the business’ expertise, we embarked on a coordinated media strategy, working with TELUS Health’s wellbeing experts to position the business as thought leaders on the key issues facing UK workers. By championing mental health in the workspace, and focusing on key topics such as financial wellbeing, and productivity working from home, we achieved over 200 pieces of coverage for TELUS in the first 12 months of our partnership.
Our approach secured authoritative, positive coverage across the national media, regularly being featured in the BBC, Daily Mail, Metro, and the Independent, and key outlets such as Forbes, Wired and CityAM.
With workers worldwide facing unprecedented difficulties, TELUS Health’s extensive expertise would become an essential voice in the UK media on workplace wellbeing. As many employees faced challenges working from home, loneliness, and stress, TELUS continued to positively encourage the conversation around mental health at work offering guidance and advice to those in need.
To further build TELUS Health’s credibility with their key audiences, we distilled our own research, known as the TELUS Mental Health Index, into digestible data stories for journalists, to establish the company as a trusted voice with its finger on the pulse of the challenges British employees were facing, giving TELUS credible cut through in the media landscape.
Our team also supported with the announcement of two major acquisition announcements including the acquisition of Ascender and the $2.3bn LifeWorks acquisition by TELUS. This encompassed strategic counsel with brand messaging, stakeholder awareness and continued high level media relations activity.
