Lime Bikes
Raising awareness of Lime’s London launch and its role as the best option for green, fun and efficient transport
E-mobility startup Lime enjoys a growing presence across the world but has a limited profile in the UK.
We were tasked with raising awareness about the UK launch of Lime’s e-bikes, where the startup brought its e-bikes to London and Milton Keynes to challenge competitors in the shared mobility space.
Lime wanted to improve attitudes towards e-bikes and e-scooters, and increase the number of users of Lime e-bikes in the capital, with a view to challenging legal regulations around e-scooters further down the line.
They were also keen to have a press office function in place to handle journalist enquiries, and our team to handle any crisis communications needed in the event of e-mobility accidents or misuse.
We designed our approach to reach both consumers and policy-makers, and to adhere to Lime’s key brand pillars around the sharing economy, urban empowerment, and sustainability. We launched Lime in London by securing coverage across titles in key verticals including national and regional media, as well as trade titles in the technology and sustainability press.
We targeted consumer lifestyle media by placing tips and advice about e-bike usage in London and secured expert commentary pieces in several trade titles, as well as national titles discussing the existing policies around e-mobility, and the need for change if we are to move towards a greener and more sustainable future for cities.
We also secured speaking opportunities at key industry events in the urban mobility, sustainability, and sharing economy sectors to enable Lime spokespeople to communicate the benefits of Lime’s e-mobility solutions and to get in front of key decision-makers in those target industries.
