Virtual platforms for sports coaches

For most of us working from home provides a welcome break from our usual commute to an office.

But for those of us whose living depends on being able to interact and engage with their clients on a one-to-one, the lock-down has provided its own unique challenges.

In the fitness industry for example, coaches and personal trainers have had to completely rethink how they approach and rework their offering and keep their clients motivated and engaged virtually.

We’ve taken a look at four apps and platforms that allow coaches to interact with their clients.

TrueCoach

Completely modernising how personal trainers engage with their clients is TrueCoach. No longer will trainers and coaches have to deal with excel spreadsheets, keeping track of YouTube tutorial videos, and client contact numbers.

All via the TrueCoach smart app, clients can post videos of themselves completing exercises, log their workouts and access previous results to track their progression.

There is also a real-time messaging functionality for both client and coaches enabling them to talk and contact each other regularly.

Around the globe, over 15,000 coaches have opted to integrate TrueCoach into their offering and waved goodbye to their usually busy admin days to enable them to focus more time on coaching their clients.

#WorkoutWednesday⠀ ⠀ As gyms are closed, it means workouts will be a little different for most people.⠀ ⠀ Most people have no clue how they can get a great workout with no equipment in their own home, in the garden or whilst on a walk.⠀ ⠀ It is our job to help our audience make the best out of quarantine and show them how to exercise in these circumstances.⠀ ⠀ Here are some ideas you are welcome to use:⠀ ⠀ – Walking 🚶‍♂for 30 minutes outside and every 5 minutes do a different bodyweight exercise for 30 reps (Squats, Press Ups, Lunges, High Knees, Tricep Dips (on a bench) and Star Jumps). Ideal to do with your dog 🐕.⠀ ⠀ – 10 minute HIIT Workout at Home 🏠. This can be short, sharp and a bit of a shock to the system. Five exercises repeated four times, working for 20 seconds on with 10 seconds rest. (Squat Jump, Plank Up and Down, Speed Skaters, Mountain Climbers and Heisman to finish)⠀ ⠀ – Body Workout in the Garden 🧘‍♀️- this can be done anywhere really but will be great to have the grass under your feet and hands.⠀ ⠀ Set 1 ⠀ Yogi Push-ups — 45 seconds ⏱️⠀ Squat Jumps — 45 seconds ⏱️ ⠀ Rest — 30 seconds ⏱️ ⠀ Repeat x 2⠀ ⠀ Set 2 ⠀ Walking Lunges — 45 seconds ⏱️⠀ Bear Crawls— 45 seconds ⏱️⠀ Rest — 30 seconds ⏱️⠀ Repeat x 2⠀ ⠀ Set 3⠀ Single-Leg Bicycles — 20 seconds each side ⏱️⠀ Flutter Kicks — 30 seconds ⏱️⠀ Raised Legs Hold — 30 seconds ⏱️⠀ Plank Hold — 30 seconds ⏱️⠀ Repeat x 2⠀ ⠀ – Sprints 🏃‍♀️( a football ⚽pitch would be ideal) – Run 8 x 400 meters (about 1/4 mile) with 2 minutes rest in between each interval.⠀ ⠀ You are welcome to share this with your audience. ⠀ ⠀ Which workout above will you do?
