NOMO is a new dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free and nut-free chocolate range from Kinnerton Confectionery.

NOMO’s vision is to create a world where no one, no matter what their dietary intolerance, allergy or restriction, ever has to miss out on a sweet treat again. With NOMO there is ‘No Missing Out’.

Overview.

The PHA Group were tasked by Kinnerton Confectionery to develop and implement an integrated social media and PR campaign for the company’s new free-from chocolate brand NOMO.

The core brief was to ensure that the brand had cut through in the crowded vegan and free-from sectors and to reach out to the brands two key target audiences – vegans / ethical consumers and those who suffer from allergies to nuts, dairy, gluten and eggs.

An integrated social media & PR strategy was created that would tap into key topics of conversations, speaking to NOMO’s target audience to drive brand loyalty, while capitalising on seasonal hooks including World Chocolate Day, World Vegan Day, Halloween, and Christmas to drive awareness during key ‘chocolate moments’.

In addition, always-on social media activity took place, inlcuding an on-going organic influencer gifting campaign, and a series of sampling and pop ups at relevant events, including Vegan Camp Out and the Free From & Allergy Show.

By tapping directly into NOMO’s target market, and nurturing and building a community of loyal NOMO fans, we were able to substantially grow NOMO’s social following from 0 to 21,000 just seven months from launching the channels.

Capitalising on key moments for vegan and free-from chocolate lovers also allowed us to create a huge online buzz, putting NOMO ahead of all its named competitors for online share-of-voice in its target market, helping to cement its position as the UK’s No.1 free-from chocolate brand.
