The Design Museum will be flooded with shoe-aholics and fans of famed shoe designer Christian Louboutin over the next few months, as the retrospective exhibition to Louboutin’s career is opened to the public.
The exhibition, which opened the beginning of May, shows Louboutin’s life and work throughout his 20-year career. It explores the creative process that goes into creating one of his famed red-soled shoes and how he transformed shoe design for today’s modern woman.
Viewers are treated to a gallery of over 200 of Louboutin’s creations. The exhibition also includes short films showing the designer dancing with burlesque performers, demonstrating a sense of inspiration. The grand finale of the exhibition presents viewers with a hologram performance by Dita von Teese.
If you can’t resist the red sole and are looking to escape the rainy weather, head over to the Design Museum and take a peek for yourself!
The Christian Louboutin exhibition will take place at the Design Museum from 1 May – 9 July 2012. Tickets can be purchased in advanced from £6 for students and £9 concession.
