Travelling as a family can be tough to organise and expensive to book a trip away in the school breaks. From Monster holidays to flying libraries, we look at the best offers out there for you and the kids this summer.
This year the hotel giant teamed up with Sony Pictures ‘Hotel Translyvania 3: A monster Vacation’ to offer thrilling activities for the whole family and even Hotel Translyvanian themed options for super fans.
Novotel didn’t stop there. For children aged 2 – 16 years who share a family room with their parents they will receive free accommodation and breakfast. Parents don’t fear, if you’re hoping for a little ‘me’ time on your trip and would prefer two rooms Novotel’s ‘buy one get one half price’ offer is just too good to miss out on this summer.
Southeastern – kids for a quid
Planning a trip to the seaside? Check out Southeastern railway’s “Kids for a quid” campaign. The concept is simple, for every adult ticket purchased you can travel with up to four children for just £1 each.
If you’re looking for some inspiration visit their website to see where families are travelling to throughout the school holidays. We know we’d have Bournemouth or Dover on our list!
easyJet – “Flibraries”:
A library in the sky? This year, easyJet launched a European-wide flying library initiative with partners Bloomsburt Children’s books and Alma books after 75% of parents admitted they were worried their kids’ vocabulary and literacy was suffering.
The project is supported by The National Literacy Trust and is set up to encourage kids to divulge into their imaginations and enjoy some new reads during their journey. Did you find your favourite? Don’t worry you will have the chance to download your book for free after your travel so you can revisit it during your break. The initiative will see the books distributed across the airline’s fleet of 300 aircrafts.
When you think of a children’s holiday usually Disneyland will spring to mind. Every little one’s dream is to bring the magic to life, from meeting your favourite princess, super hero or walking down the promenade toward the pretty pink castle Disneyland is a great place to make memories as a family. This year Disney is offering a 25% saving and free half-board meal plan (breakfast and dinner) in the Disney hotel of your choice when you visit. And don’t worry, Eurostar will now drop you right outside so there is no excuse.
